Our trip to the Whangarei Museum is fully planned and we are all keen to go. Thank you to those who have offered transport and to manage a group.  

Unfortunately we cannot take extra people, we must adhere to the requirements set out for us and therefore in the event we have an over supply of parent support will be in contact to let you know if you are needed for this particular trip. 

Our guidelines for managing a group:

Keep students with you at all times.
When getting into your car they must enter from the footpath side.
You must check all seatbelts are fastened before driving off. Announce once you have stopped the car at the museum that seatbelts can now be unfastened. The same when returning to school.
Please tell the children they must talk quietly while you are driving so not to distract the driver.
Ensure students have their bags on their backs when they get out of the car.
When walking through the Museum carpark, please keep the students by you in case of moving vehicles.
If a child needs to go to the toilet, please move as a group and stay outside the toilets with the other students. If a teacher is nearby, they may look after your group or manage taking the student to the toilet.
When eating, you will follow the teachers instructions. However, do not let your group get up and walk away.  Our school rule is that we are seated while we are eating.
If you have a student who does not present acceptable behaviour, please take the child with the group to the classroom teacher. They will manage the student.
If a child becomes unwell, please seek out the classroom teacher and keep the group of students with you.
Please insist on manners and respect. We trust our students will be great, however we expect them as a school.
No photos are to be taken of students with faces shown to respect everyones privacy. 
Under no circumstances are any students to wander anywhere on their own, they must stay with you at all times.
As always we appreciate the support and cannot have events like this without your support. Teachers will be in touch shortly to confirm details.

Just a reminder that we have our school Cross Country events tomorrow Friday 14th, with a postponement date of Monday 17th if needed. 

We will advise all Parents and Whanau of cancellation as soon as possible tomorrow if the weather is of concern. Otherwise have your child/ren come prepared to run, race and get wet and muddy. 

- Warm clothing for after races is a must. 

- A wet bag or plastic bag for dirty clothing is always appreciated.

- A bigger than usual lunch and a drink bottle will also hit the spot.
